Slaughden: a Dutch name on the Suffolk coast?

This article of mine is in the Journal of the English Place-Name Society, 54 (2022), 91–97;. The abstract follows:

The origin of the name Slaughden in Aldeburgh in Suffolk has never been properly studied. This note proposes that it is of Low German or Dutch origin, and refers to timber or brushwood reinforcements of the banks of the River Alde.

A pdf offprint is available here.
