Keith Briggs - computational records

I like to use computers to solve unusual mathematical problems, especially in computational number theory and graph theory.

Of course, there is a serious purpose behind this work - mainly to develop algorithms which are efficient in practice, not just in theory; but also to test conjectures, and to check the accuracy of asymptotic expansions.

Here are some of my results that I believe set world records for most precise or extensive computation:

• Superabundant and colossally abundant numbers
• Tables of number of connected graphs
• Decimal expansion of the Gauss-Kuzmin-Wirsing constant
• Worst badly approximable pair
• Decimal expansions of Feigenbaum constants
